Our Story
PlopinPot was born from a deeply personal journey.
It started with Vesal Yaghoobi, a pathologist and cancer researcher who dedicated her career to helping cancer patients live better and healthier lives. At the beginning of 2025, her story took an unexpected turn. Vesal was diagnosed with cancer.
Suddenly, she experienced cancer from the other side. Treatments. Chemo. Fatigue. Healing. During recovery, one of the biggest challenges was something that seems simple: eating well. She needed food that was nourishing, comforting, and healing. On the shelves she mostly found processed, shelf-stable soups. They were far from what her body needed.
So, she turned to her own kitchen. With simple, fresh ingredients, she began making soups that felt alive. Wholesome, warm, and real.
Then a thought hit her: what about other patients? The ones who do not have the energy to cook or anyone to make them something fresh. How can they nourish their bodies while fighting such a tough battle?
What started as a way to care for herself soon grew into a bigger mission. Make real, healthy soups accessible to everyone.
PlopinPot was built on that mission. Bring a delicious, heartwarming, and healthy option to anyone in need of nourishment. Patients in recovery. Kids who deserve the best. Or any of us who simply crave a bowl of soup that tastes like home.
Along the way, Vesal’s cousin, Negar, joined the journey. When she saw Vesal’s determination to turn something painful into something meaningful, she knew it was a story worth building. With her engineering and entrepreneurship background, Negar helps Vesal shape PlopinPot every day.
Together, these two cousins started PlopinPot with one shared belief: healing begins with care, and sometimes that care starts with a bowl of soup.
One drop at a time.
